Between Sami & reindeer

Welcome to the land of the Sami! Fjällnäs Camping & Lodges is located in the middle of the Sami area "Ruvthen Sijte". In summer there are almost 4000 reindeer here! Today, many Sámi live "modern" lives, but remain true to Sámi heritage, traditions and culture. Reindeer herding is both a way of life and an important source of income. To introduce you, we have developed a Sami Experience Tour. This is an app that you can download on your phone. This tour takes you to beautiful places in this region and introduces you to the Sami, their customs and culture. The length of the tour is approximately 120 km and takes approximately 5 to 6 hours with all stops. Optionally, you can also book a visit to the Musk Ox Center in Tännäs. You drive the tour with your own car. We will give you the route and access to the app. Through texts, photos and videos you will become acquainted with the fascinating culture of the Sami and the landscape of the Funäsfjällen.
